How do I find a suitable vacancy?

Start with Browse vacancies and use the available filters to narrow the list. Check the role, location, experience level, salary band, contract type, hours and working arrangement. Read the full advert before applying: a hybrid role may have specific office attendance requirements, and a part-time salary may be expressed as a full-time equivalent.

How do I apply?

Open the vacancy details and select Apply for this role. Sign in or complete the account steps when requested. Check that the application page shows the correct vacancy, then complete your details, covering note and CV upload. Read the consent information before submitting. Look for the submission confirmation before assuming the application has been received.

What CV file should I prepare?

Prepare a PDF CV no larger than 2 MB for the application form. Open the file yourself before uploading and check that the text is readable, contact details are current and the correct document has been selected. Use a clear filename. Do not include confidential client documents or unnecessary sensitive information.

What should I put in the covering note?

Explain which relevant experience you bring and why the work interests you. Connect a few specific points to the advertised requirements rather than repeating the whole CV. Mention availability or a working-pattern question where it helps the employer assess the application. Keep examples anonymised and do not disclose client information.

Who assesses my application?

The employer advertising the vacancy reviews applications and makes recruitment decisions. Pembroke Legal provides the platform. An application does not guarantee an interview or an offer. Read the advert for any stated timetable and use the employer’s available contact route for questions about its selection process.

Can I apply twice or change a submitted application?

The platform is designed to prevent duplicate applications to the same vacancy from the same candidate account. Check your information before submitting. If you need to correct something afterwards, contact the employer through an available contact route or use the site’s Contact page for help identifying the next step. Do not create a second account to work around a duplicate warning.

What if the application page is blank?

Check whether you are signed in, reopen the vacancy from Browse vacancies and try the application route again. If it still fails, report the vacancy link, device and what happened through the Contact page. Do not repeatedly submit the same form or send your password. A blank page is not confirmation of an application.

How should I prepare for an interview?

Re-read the advert, prepare anonymised examples of relevant work and think about questions on supervision, workload and development. Confirm the format and any exercise in advance. Ask the employer about the process if anything is unclear. Bring evidence of your own contribution rather than confidential work product from another firm.
